Terms of Service

The rules for using Magnet Monitor, in plain words. Last updated September 30, 2026.

The short version

  • Magnet Monitor is a remote monitoring service we provide to businesses that look after MRI magnets and related equipment.
  • It is an extra pair of eyes, not a safety system. Keep your own procedures, your equipment vendor’s service and alarms, and the manufacturer’s guidance in place. We can’t promise every alert will arrive.
  • Keep your username and PIN to yourself, and only look at your own company’s equipment.

Who we are

Magnet Monitor is run by Saw Tech Solutions LLC, a Texas company (“we” and “us”). By using Magnet Monitor or this website you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

If you use Magnet Monitor on behalf of a company, you agree to these terms for that company too. If your company has a separate written agreement with us, that agreement wins wherever the two differ.

The service

  • We provide Magnet Monitor to business customers. A customer’s admins decide who in their company gets an account, which units are monitored, what the alert thresholds are, and who receives alert emails.
  • Readings come from a collector installed at each site, over the site’s network and ours. The customer is responsible for having the right to connect the equipment it asks us to monitor, and for keeping its list of alert recipients current.
  • Prices and payment terms, if any, are agreed with each customer separately.
  • The public demo shows invented data and is for trying the product only.

Monitoring is an aid, not a safety system

Magnet Monitor helps you notice problems sooner. It does not replace your own safety and emergency procedures, the service, remote monitoring and alarms provided by your equipment’s vendor, or the manufacturer’s instructions. Keep all of them in place and follow them first.

Readings pass through on-site equipment, local networks, cellular links and outside services, any of which can fail. Readings may be late, missing or wrong. Alert emails and notifications can be delayed, filtered as spam or lost, and we don’t guarantee that any alert will be sent or delivered. Don’t rely on Magnet Monitor as the only way you would learn about a problem with your equipment.

Magnet Monitor is not a medical device and is not used for diagnosing or treating patients.

Accounts and PINs

  • Keep your username and PIN confidential, and don’t share an account. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Treat alert-email links and wall-display links like passwords: anyone who has one can use it. Only pair a wall display on the screen it is meant for.
  • Admins should remove people who leave the company and revoke display links that are no longer needed.
  • If you think someone else knows your PIN, change it on the Account page and tell us at shawn@sawtechsolutions.com.

Using it fairly

  • Don’t try to see another company’s data, or get into an account that isn’t yours.
  • Don’t probe, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer or try to get around the security of Magnet Monitor, the collectors installed at your sites, or the network that connects them.
  • Don’t upload anything unlawful, or a logo or other material you don’t have the right to use.
  • Don’t use Magnet Monitor to build a competing product.

What belongs to whom

Your company’s equipment data and logo stay yours. You let us store and process them to run and support the service for you, as our Privacy Policy describes. The Magnet Monitor software, website, design and name belong to us.

Suspending and ending access

A customer can stop using Magnet Monitor at any time by telling us. We may suspend or close an account or a company’s access if these terms are broken, if it puts the service or other customers at risk, or as agreed with the customer.

No promises

We work hard to keep Magnet Monitor accurate and running, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We may change, add or remove features.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses — including damage to equipment, loss of helium or other cryogens, a magnet quench, downtime, cancelled scans, or lost revenue or data — even if an alert was late, missing or wrong. If we are liable for anything, our total liability is limited to what your company paid us for Magnet Monitor in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and the law

If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and the date at the top first. Using Magnet Monitor after that means you accept the change. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
